Final Week plans
Thanks for a great racing series everyone! The final week is going to be a fun race on the 2.5K Nature-made loop (Northern Lights). There will be one equiment rule, all skis must either be regular old rental skis or touring classic skis (wood skis ok too). Bonus points for retro equipment!
Following immediately will be snacks and cake courtesy of Hy-Vee (thanks Susan Johnson!). We will be handing out medals and awards (Pioneer Midwest gift cards). We will also have race founder Melinda Silbernick on hand to honor a few skiers with special recognition.
See you there! 7pm start as usual.
We are an informal, weekly training race held on Wednesday nights throughout most of the winter, concluding the Wednesday before the American Birkebeiner. We are now entering our 29th year of racing. Many thanks to our founder Melinda Silbernick. We will strive to keep the spirit of her race true and look forward to seeing her out on the trails. Look for her at the Fulton Team Night this year!
It looks like winter is trying to get off to early start. Stay tuned to this page and our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ElmCreekXCRacing/.
Don’t forget that the annual Pioneer Midwest ski swap is this Saturday, November 10th at 8am. Be there early for prize drawing which will include all kinds of wonderful things from Pioneer as well as a few free race entries for the series.
